help identifying part

Okay on my 77 cutlass there's 2 things sticking out the firewall what are they for it seems something is missing??

Could that be why no air is coming out my defroster?? And so if the previous owner had it unhooked us it most likely leaking it I need a new one

No, those nipples would have nothing to do with no air coming out of your defroster. But I do guarantee that if air were coming out of your defroster it would be COLD air.

Okay cool so it hooks from there to what? Is one for heater and ac or is it strictly heat

It's for strictly heat...the small nipple goes to the rear of the intake manifold and the large one goes to the water pump nipple... that gold coloured valve just below those nipples is where the small hose goes...it is vacuum controlled to shut off the heat when the AC is on...

Okay I gota hook it up and see if the heater core is good... dam I still gota find out my air is only coming from floor and not dash

It was 88 here a few days last week.

We are supposed to hit 90 on Sunday.....
I don't see signs of it leaking inside the car ill have to find out but that what I was thinkin previous owner had unhooked for a reason
