Headlights

So i was leaving church last night and my headlights wouldnt come on i got pulled over twice and i almost hit a car. My iner dome light works and my back lights work. My front grille is open and. I dont have a front bumper and its been raining constantly this whole week. Any reason this would happen? My lights sometimes do this. Let me know if theres anything i can do

The dimmer works I think cuz the inner gage and stuff goes from dark to light by turning it to the left and my inner dome light comes on to. 72 cutlass 350 rocket

I don’t have hi beams because I hit a curb guard cuz I didn’t have a neutral safety switch and it was in drive, I have one now but I’ll still look for it.

There is a switch on the floor, pull the carpet back so you can get to the plug. With the headlight switch on use a test light see if you have voltage on the blue wire, or... you can jumper from the blue wire to the pink wire.

Your carpet is glued down??? Try taking off the side sill plate and wiggling the carpet loose from under the side kick panel. It should come up with not much effort. Where the dimmer switch is though, you should be able to remove the plastic trim piece just above the carpet and pull it down to expose the dimmer switch.

Then you need to un-imbed it... Checking voltage at that switch will tell you which direction to go, forward or back.
