Cutlass Trunk Hunges

Does anyone know if the trunk hinge setup on a 72 Cutlass is the same as a 72 Chevelle? I want to switch to billet hinges, but no one that makes a kit for a Chevelle could tell me if it works on a Cutlass. I know that the hood hinges are different due to fenders and mounting points, but I didn't think the trunk could be much different. Any feedback is appreciated.

The hinge on a 1972 Cutlass isn't even the same as on a 1972 Cutlass .
There are THREE different hinges on the Cutlass cars alone, convertible P/N 9720628, 2dr "fastback" (xx77 and xx87 body styles) P/N 9720630, and four door/Supreme 2dr (4257 body) P/N 9722033.

The 9720628 convertible hinge is also used on the same year Chevelle convertibles.
The 9722033 Supreme HT hinge is also used on the same year Chevelle sport coupe and four door cars.
The 9720630 Cutlass 2dr fastback hinge is unique to Olds.

This is a great moment to realize not everything has to be billet or chrome.

Besides a 15yo profile avatar, you have know idea what my car currently looks like...Assuming that me asking for billet hinges means I have chrome on my car, you're actually wrong. You do realize that billet is not a color, but it means it started from a solid metal? The hinges I wanted to install were black anodized billet aluminum.
Joe answered the question with the exact information that was needed, but I appreciate your concern nonetheless

Not butthurt, only facts and as someone that thought billet was a finish you should quit now...... you can reply if you want, but I won't know because I turned off notifications for this post

Definitely chapped, lol. Not a lot of weight savings to be had in billet trunk "hunges," there, Karl; might want to change your sig to "slight pro-fairground build" with all that bling.
