trunk hinge

My 64 Cutlass has a broken hinge where it attaches to the trunk lid. I have a 65 parts car with a good one. I haven't crawled inside to take a good look (I would fall through either trunk floor) but I don't see an obvious way to just unbolt the hinge. Is it an assembly that is spot welded in? If anyone has any info I would appreciate it.

My other option would be to weld the hinge back together. It appears that it may be cast so I don't know if the weld would work or last very long.

I found a few sites selling billet trunk hinges. In looking at their instructions it shows a hinge pin or rivet being cut off to remove the hinge. Of course their new setup doesn't use the pin. If this pin can be replaced the hinge can be swapped. Anyone have any ideas where to look for that type of part?
