Bumper difference?

Is there any difference between 69 and 70 in the front bumper? I've looked at photos and they look the same but I can't be positive. Trying to sell my 69 front bumper and I have a buyer that wants to know if they are interchangeable.

Just curious, what is the difference? I see what willidog is saying by looking at pics of the bumpers. Can you tell us what makes the bumpers different? Is it the mounting / fitting or a small detail in the shape that I've overlooked.

I can tell a 69 Cutlass from a 70 way in the distance, but this question has me a little stumped.

Bowing to your expertise,, please enlighten us?? thanks Richard

Two main differences, the center lower tooth and the horizontal part on either side.

69s have a short hood tooth and the "tooth" in the center of the bumper comes up to meet it. 70s have a long hood tooth and the bumper tooth is shorter in the center as a result. My head has plenty of dents from both years...

The other difference is the horizontal part. On 69s the grilles are the same height as the headlight doors and the bumper is straight across. On 70s the bottom of the grilles is lower than the headlight doors. The bumper is contoured to match.

Thanks Joe,
Knew I was missing something. Best way to hide something from me is put it right in front of my face.

Hey Willidog, you're up to speed now too?

Cheers,
Al

go figure. Most of us are that way. Me I try to rely on a 62 year old memory. Does not work. Don't know how many times I have been good naturallly corrected in these forums.

Yea, I'm good. The reason I was asking is cause I have my 69 bumper for sale and some guy with a 70 Cutlass was wondering if it would coss over. Now I have two guys interested in it, both of them from the East coast. I don't know why but there aren't many Olds out here in sunny California and lots in the Midwest and east.
