bolt missing on rear hub assembly

so when I bought the car, I noticed that one of the lug nuts was missing and this bothered me.

I figured I'll take of this, so it's the rear wheel on passenger side and I took the wheel off to have a look.

Two questions, to mount a new bolt do I have to take off everything behind it for clearance? or is it a easy slip in, one friend mentioned that I have to bang it in with a hammer. Please see pics, also does a local store have this or I need to go online? thanks in advance...

If the axle hole is undamaged and a new stud doesn't just fall into place, you can use a lug nut and grease the threads to pull the stud into place. If the hole is just a bit iffy, use some Loctite. If the stud falls into place, you need a stud with larger diameter splined area that will fit tight. Parts houses carry the studs.

Obtain the correct stud, install the stud from the back side, place a washer and a lug nut (installed backwards so flat end is against the washer) and tighten it until the stud is fully seated. If you have an impact wrench, that will make the install go very quickly. I would not use any grease on the splines. If the hole in the axle is damaged, you'll need to get another axle.
