I'm considering removing the vinyl top from my 84 cutlass. Other than trim for the rear window will I need anything else? Do I need to get the trim from another 84 cutlass or will can I get it from other years/makes? I'm also going to swap out the stock rearend for a chevy 12-bolt. I have the rearend. What do I need to get/do to get the 12-bolt installed? Thanks...

 

You can use the window trim from any 81-88 Cutlass. The trim pieces are held in place by clips that more than likely will break when you try and remove them. But you can use adhesive to place them on your car. Also, once the top is off, there are stubs that end up sticking out on the roof. These will need to be removed or grinded down. We did this to my brother's '82 Cutlass and I am considering doing it to my '85. Only thing is that these trim pieces are hard to find. Hope this helps.
