83 Cutlass Supreme....455 Big Block...

Just bought a 83 cutty supreme with a olds 455 big block that was rebuilt, painted and bored out. Ports were polished too. Body need work with some new paint but interior is mint and motor is solid. Also has a posi rear end in it and it has a little over 400hp as is. Did i get a good deal? thanks

Even though you neglected to tell us what you paid for it, value is a relative term. If you didn't have to mortgage your house and that car puts a grin from ear to ear on your face, then you got a good deal.

Dam man my fault, I paid 1300. It needs some body work and new paint. The rear bumper is rusted too so tack that on as well. But the motor, tranny, rearend, and interior (super mint interior) are all in dam good shape...Good Deal???

Where I am from, that is a good deal. I had a guy that wanted to sell me his 85 Cutlass, with a 307 for 1200, so a 455 whats been rebuilt and in good condition sounds pretty good. I would've paid that much for just the block if it is in as good a condition as you say it is...

For an already rebuilt 455, if it runs well and doesn't smoke, still has mileage left on it? $1300 is a good deal.

What kind of tans and rear are you running? Has it overheated on you yet?
G-bodys with 455's tend to do this...
I would definately say you got a good deal :-)
