79 olds Cutlass Calais

I am a new owner to a 79 olds Cutlass Calais. I would like all the info I can get on finding body parts and other upgrades to these cars. I grew up in this car and it has been through hell and back.

Welcome. Unfortunately, these cars are not popular and thus not supported by the repro vendors. Good used parts are about your only option. If you really need "all" body parts, it will be cheaper to buy a good parts car. Of course, once you do that, ask yourself if you wouldn't be better off just building THAT car.

By the way, I'm not one to talk, as I've done exactly this in the past...

Welcome to the group... Not a lot of new sheet metal on the market for those vehicles unless you can find someone with some NOS parts... Internet searches will be your best option...

This car shares the same front fenders with all 79 Cutlass. The only difference is the front grills and header. Doors are the same as 2-door Cutlass, Trunk lids are the same. Tail light housings and lens may be different.

Welcome Derrik, if you get a chance post several pics showing the rusted area's needing attention. That way most of the guys here will be able to give you some sound advice on where to start with your car. Also if the investment is worth the condition the car is in currently. Nobody here will steer you in the wrong direction.
All the best with your project!
Eric

1978 thru 1980 Cutlass A-Body Coupes share most all the same body panels... 1980 uses a dual headlight setup, thus a different header panel...
