'70 Supreme trim piece

Howdy -

I have a Supreme convertible that I am replacing the top. I noticed a previous owner replaced the piece that has the snaps for the vinyl boot to attach to -- see pic.

Anyone know where I can get a trim piece for this so the boot will attach?

It looks like you have the factory trim piece (if you are referring to the chrome strip). The convertible top boot slid underneath the chrome strip. If you saw cars with snaps they were not factory correct.

Thanks for the info - good to know I don't need to replace that part. Now I am confused as to how to get the boot under there, though. How is this done?

Factory boot has plastic that slides under the trim.

Thanks again - I'll figure it out once I get the boot unwrapped.

Make sure to slide the bead on the front edge of the boot into the slot behind the rear seat first.
