68 cutlass convertible supreme headers?
I'm restoring my 68 cutlass 350 convt supreme column shift.
recently installed flowmaster dual exhaust and looking for sone headers to compliment them.
I have the origional 2 barrel on for now but plan of going to a 4 within the next year or so.
What fits the best/ will perform the best?

Starfire- Sorry I'm not much of a expert, It's an "S". Guys have told me there the same guess not.
Oldsmaniac- That's what I have read so far on threads but have yet to find my options. I don't want to buy after market manifolds and regret it down the road...

For whatever headers you decide to buy, read the notes as to what will work with what trans linkage. There are a lot of headers that will work with a column shift. That note about "not working with an "S" is absolutely wrong, they will.
Oh, it's like the note in the repop catalogues that say certain armrests won't fit certain cars and they are wrong (and have been for years).
I just put American Racing Headers on my 1968 Olds Cutlass S convertible, and they fit perfect without any modification. Here is a link:

Just be ready to have your wallet feel a bit lighter if you buy them. They are not cheap. If you want to hear what they sound like, following is a link:

I'm kinda in the same movie. My '67 has a 70's 350 (olds) swap with a 4 barrel and cam. It rumbles with dual pipes, "H" x-over and Flowmasters. It still has the factory manifolds where the drivers side has a capped off stub with a rattle generating heat valve.
So, considering headers is only to get rid of the goofy heat riser manifold. They make new castings that don't have the riser. They look quality and run around $380 a pair. Next would be headers. Ugh, headers. My past experience with them is they are a bugger to fit sometimes. Then, after you get 'em in, you're often chasing leaks and problems even with spendy ones. The benefit from 5 hp and a slightly groovier exhaust note is questionable. If long tube headers could work, I'll be looking at stainless or ceramic high-end babies with heavy flange plates. The under $300 stuff out there will fail in my experience.
My Franken-car is unusual 'cause its column, inner fender-wells, etc., are definitely things in the tubeage path. I don't want to have to cut her up. So there's another option. I've only seen these on E-pray but they're shorty headers that dump down early eliminating a scary pipe run. I've seen these in stainless and aluminum. Hmmmmm?
