'65 Cutlass original wheels/caps

So the wife thinks she wants to put the wheels/tires back to original.. the car originally came with the matching painted wheels with hubcaps.. would like to not only see a close up picture of what these should look like along with info on sizes.. 14x6? Aluminum or steal? but a pic or two of some '65's with these on them. Thanks.

I'm a big fan of the hubcaps. This is all I could find on the web. I'm pretty sure those aren't '65 caps, however. Wheels should be steel, 14 x 6, I believe.

Smile Wheelin' and dealin'

A Cutlass might come with 14 X 5 and a 442 would come with 14 X 6?? I like those rallye I, Magnum 500 style all chrome. Caps with or without trim rings would be another nice choice...

I like the "steel wheel with dog dish caps" look a lot. I think your car would look very good that way, and with black wall tires. MMMmmmmmm nice.

Definitely 14 x 6 JK "R" code wheels, which are the heavy duty 14 x 6s. I don't think Jason would mind me showing off his fine '65:

I have a set I'd sell you if you're interested.

Jason's '65 sure is fine. Looks fantastic with the caps. Not sure if they reproduce them though, or do they?

The R will be stamped about 1/4" high and located by the valve stem hole, so your can see it even with tires mounted.

This code is the broadcast code and would be found in the "Wheel" box on the build sheet (see attached), and inspector's manuals.

No one repops them. Best bet is ebay. Beware that most are banged up from slapping them on.

Nice shot Jason. I forgot to mention they have the number 800, too.
