4spd transmission id

I bought a 70 Cutlass Supreme convert a couple years ago that is a 442 tribute. Has a 455 (non original) and 4 speed, but trying to determine if the 4 speed is original. I searched the trans case for VIN stamping, but did not find one. The production date of the trans is January of 1970 so??? Any other ways to determine if it is an original 4 speed car???

I moved your post to its own thread instead of resurrecting an unrelated old thread.
