4dr 442

hello fellow olds owners i have a 1964 olds f85 deluxe 4dr with 330 4barrell carb and 4spd tranny. I have owned this car since 1975 . Did a lot of street racing with this car and would take to the track occasionally it ran 14 sec quarter miles i think this is one of the 8 4dr 442s built that yr it has all the right options. It has been parked since 1980 iam getting ready to start restoring this car.The car is all original except for hood and drivers side front fender I rearended a mustang in 1978 coming home from a kegger.Transmission was changed to a m22 rockcrusher trans with a 12 in spicer clutch i still have the original m21 tranny this was my sleeper hot rod in high school in the 70s at the time i had a 64 chevelle 2dr wagon with a factory 4sd wish i still had that one .has any one else ever ran accross an olds like this one let me know.

Unfortunately, this will be difficult to document. The 4spd WAS available in any 4dr Cutlass that year, as was the B09 police package. Does the car have the boxed lower control arms and rear anti-sway bar? Does it have the 442 emblems? Correct 442 air cleaner and pie pan? Of course, all those items can be added, so as I said, documentation will be very difficult.

Without documentation, it will be impossible to prove it. You would only be able to see how many of the "indicators" are there. The more that are there, the more likely. That's as far as any "proof" could go.
In addition to what Joe said, presuming it doesn't have emblems, what about evidence of holes for the emblems?
I'd also look for evidence that it possibly was a police car. Fine line there.

No. The B09 was a police option.
When the '64 GTO had immediate success, Olds wanted in. They took the B09 option, added 442 emblems and an specific air cleaner, and the 442 emerged into the "new" musclecar market.
