455 in 72 cutlass

After several weeks of thinking about wether to keep my cutlass project or sell off all my cars and get a nova project i decided on keeping the cutlass. it had a 78 350 in it that i am taking out. i have a 173 455 out of a 98 that runs and i was wondering if the 455 will easily fit into the cutlass. Right now i just want a running engine in it. Also does anyone have any knowledge on prices for bodywork, im gonna need to replace the quarter panels and a fender.
thanks

From a 350 to a 455 isn't a hard swap. Just be sure you use the 350 rubber mounts with the 350 metal perches that are bolted to the crossmember. The 455 had different metal perches, you can use the 350 but be sure you keep the matching rubber mounts with whatever metal perches you use. It will bolt up to the transmission just fine. If you keep the power steering pump from the 350 you may need to swap the crank and water pump pullys so they all match and line up. You may need to change the fan if it hits the fan shroud, not sure if you'll have an issue with that or not. The exhaust may need some minor tweaking too. But no major modifications needed for the swap. Have fun, and let us know if something unexpected comes up!
