455 Roller 72 Cutlass 455

Roller cam im guessing, if so yes. My friend that has been helping me with my olds runs a similar solid roller to the one in my 492 pontiac. Not sure on his specs but I know his lift is similar to mine .736" lift. Keep in mind if your heads dont flow at those lift numbers its a waste. Match your cam to your head flow numbers.

Yes, you can buy aftermarket roller cam/lifter setups for an Olds. The stock late 307 roller lifters won't work in a 455 because the diameter is different (0.921" for the rollers vs. 0.842").
The only "serpentine" belt kits are aftermarket ones that use the conventional water pump and a bazillion idler pulleys to force enough belt contact. In my opinion these kits are a complete waste since they are more complex and create more HP loss than the stock V-belts. The only reverse rotation water pump ever made for an Olds motor is the one on the V6 diesel. There are a couple of true serpentine kits made for the Olds-motored GMC motorhomes using this pump, but the accessory brackets are low and wide to fit that application. Plus, these motorhome kits cost more than I paid for many of my cars.
(Why? Because they can. One vendor refuses to sell the reverse rotation water pump separately, and refuses to admit it's the diesel pump. I bought one new on RockAuto for $35 or so.)

the plan is to see how my (not yet powered by a) 455 65 Cutlass does vs. my bro in law's 66 skylark with a 455 (Buick of course) .
So citcapp run it ? going to ?

Its in September, I'll take a look at the track calender when I get back to the shop. Look me up if you go. I'll have the 64 done for it and I'll have the 67 Firebird, big solid roller in this car for a stock block pontiac. Though I do run a lifter bore brace and have the block epoxy filled.

Roller Valvetrain
Good news everyone, Lunati now has Olds Hydraulic roller lifters at a price below Crane and Comp. I get em for about $100.00+ less than the others.
It's a step in the right direction!!!
