Rocket Motor

At cruises and shows people tell me my 1971 350 engine is special because it's a "Rocket" 350 and painted gold.

The 1964-1990 Olds V8 engines, despite sharing a lot of design features, are commonly divided into two families based on the deck height. The short deck motors (called small blocks) are the 260, 307, 330, 350, and 403. The tall deck (big block) motors are the 400, 425, and 455.
