2 different rear bumpers for 76-77?
Can anyone tell me if the two bumpers pictured below are interchangable. My bumper (1st picture) is the three piece bumper(one lower piece, two upper left and right piece). The second picture is what appears to be all one piece with the vertical impact bars. I have a chance to buy the latter of the two for a great price, but I want to make sure it fits.

I thought all the 76/77 bumpers were 'assemblies' instead of just one piece. Any way you can test fit it prior to buying or is this something that's going to be shipped?

The car is 2 hrs from me. It is mounted on a 77. I would be driving my truck to pick it up, so a test fit is out of the question. I prefer the look of the 3 piece, but they are hard to come by and mine has several rust spots, which on a clean car, is unacceptable. This is the donor car.http://fayetteville.craigslist.org/cto/3486818869.html

The car looks to be in decent condition. So the seller is parting it out? FWIW if the bumper is in great shape and came off a 77 CS Brougham (that would also explain the bumperettes) it should be fully interchangeable with your car.

The guy wasn't going to part out, but I told him he would probably make more money if he did. I may end up buying more than just the bumper once I get there. I didn't want a rechromed bumper, but more a clean bumper that had the same patina as the rest of my car.
