1980 Supreme T-Top Restoration
Hey Yall,
I am looking to restore my grandfathers 1980 Supreme with the T-Top. It has sat for the last five years but the garage it was in wasn't very weather proof. The T-Top had a pretty good leake apparently cause i have some serious mold in some of the tighter spaces. I was just wondering where I can pick up the cloth apolstry for the doors and floor. Also she fired up pretty decent but I have noticed a fuel leak coming out of the lower left section of the carb. Any Ideas other then a brand new carb. Also the vinyl backing behind the T-Top isn't in the greatest condition where could i find a new one, how much would it be, and how hard are they to switch out. I am on a pretty low budget so any money saving tips would be very helpfull. I appreciate any help you can give me. I am sure I will be asking plenty more questions in the near future.

Welcome to our site. I can't address the upholstery or vinyl top issues for a newer car like yours but will comment on the carb. Make sure it isn't the fuel inlet or that the top bolts aren't just loose and allowing fuel to seep by the gasket around the fuel bowl. Otherwise, a rebuild kit should do the trick. Rebuilding a carb is not an easy job if you haven't done it before. Lots of little pieces, etc. You can buy re-manufactured carbs from most auto parts stores or have a good mechanic rebuild the one you have. Check the basics first though.

Here's a good source for upholstery material and supplies. They do not sell pre-made door panels or seat covers but they have a very wide selection of yardage.
