1980 olds cutlass dash

i took the dash out of my 1980 olds calais a lot of metal parts are rusted pretty bad, probably from the t top leaking it took me about 15 minutes the only hard part was the torques bolts they would turn but not come out. and i didn't have to take the fuse box out. i think a lot of connections are corroded including the ground wires. i won't be driving the car for awhile until i get the tags and such. the alternator works good now charges at 14.75 at idle. i am going to change the brushes in a bit. all it took was some good ground wires, not sure of the amps yet.

T top channels are reproduced now. The dash of your Calais - does it have the Rallye Pac setup? Your car should be able to accept donor dash assemblies from 1978-1987.

yes it has the rally pac set up which doesn't work ,part of the problem is the printed circut board, haven't been able to find a replacement circut board. Part of the tracing at the connection is missing and i am not good at soldering. the gauges themselves work. i traced the wires and they all work. i was thinking of making my own gauge pack and adding a transmission tempurature gauge just to be different. i haven't been able to find a gauge pack in the wrecking yards around spokane yet they are all missing or they want more than 100 bucks. and the mounting holes in my dash are hogged out so i have to put larger screws in and that doesn't look right it is in a 1980 olds cutlass calais

There's an 82 Cutlass in the boneyard here. I can swing by there in the next week and check for you. They want 38.00 for a complete instrument panel. Want me to check on it? I can't check it at the yard, so once it's bought, it's bought because of their policy.
