1974 Cutlass S Color Combinations?
Hi Folks,
Newbie here.
I just bought a 1974 Cutlass S w/38466 miles on it. I love the car, but it is Omega Lime, with white buckets & green dash. (Not liking that).
I'm going to have it painted, & I'd like to stick to the original color schemes, just not Omega Lime. I know about TCP, but I'm trying to find out what the combinations were in '74.
The car is like new, has a tiny amount of surfae rust at one rear quarter panel. Almost everything on it works fine, the Landau Roof needs to have new trim, & I'll probably have new skin put on it.
I paid $3,000.00 for it. Is that good or bad? It's not a Supreme, but man oh man it is clean.
Thank kindly-
Chris

Chris,
First, welcome to our site, I hope you enjoy your stay. Second, I don't know what color combinations were available for the Cutlass S in 1974 but you might consider what would go well with the green dash and white buckets. Is the carpet green or black? Third, I think $3,000 for any driving Oldsmobile from the seventies is a fair price (especially if it is in nice of shape as you describe it). Fourth, when will we see pictures (love the eye candy)?

Color Combos
Hey Oldsguy,
Thank you for your response.
Like I said, I'm going to try to keep with original colors, I got the original color info from PPG this morning, but not combinations.
Pics coming later today, hopefully (gotta go to work now) and yup, it is awfully clean. One rear marker light is inop, 8 track stereo needs cleaning etc. Fan blower inop, little stuff.
Again-Thanks,
Chris
