Since those grilles only came with the 442 emblem, I doubt anything else will be close.

I thought there was a "350" one that would.

Not that was ever used on an Oldsmobile. If by some miracle there is another emblem that fits, it's purely coincidental.

Nothing else fits perfectly. You would have to modify an emblem, or modify the grille. I plan to use an old Cutlass emblem and cut the studs off. Then double side tape it to the grille.

Yes, that's what I plan to do, modify grille or emblem. The 1971 fender script "Cutlass" nearly covers as does the Oldsmobile emblem out of the S grille. I don't want to just start buying emblems to get one to fit. The 350 is a good idea but I would have to find a Olds 350 emblem.

I'm going to use the "OLDSMOBILE" emblem that was in my "S" Grille originally. It had a black backing plate behind it that mostly covers the 442 holes.

Yes I was thinking that also, mine didn't have a black backing plate and I was just going to remove the center pin so I wouldn't have to alter the grille.

The grille design for the 442 is so much tougher looking!
