What is a set of these worth?

 

Was $1400 when none were to be found...jisst saw a reasonably priced pair around 1/2 that
proly anass mine for 8 ona bad day.
..a grand other wise......buyer & seller are only 2 that really know & usually both Are wrong by 20-30%, .

 

First off, there's no such thing as 1968 cutlass Supreme convertible. In 68 you could only get a convertible in a Cutlass S or 442

I've never seen $1400 but properly marketed, it wouldn't surprise me. If a high end restorer is looking for a set he'll pretty much pay anything

I've sold a lot of 68 convertible 1/4 trim over the last 20 years. The pieces seem to find me. Probably 8 sets. The last restored set I sold was perfectly restored (and I mean perfect) for $850 and I had it for sale for 6-8 months.

It costs $20-$30 a foot to have it restored IF it doesn't have any creases (not including shipping, delivery, etc). If it has creases it can be much more $$$ or even unrestorable. If it has holes the price goes up significantly as well.

If you can find a decent core set for $300-$400 you're doing very well. Of course then you either have to settle for it the way it is or pay the $$$ to have it restored

I don't market my stuff very well. There are guys on here and FB that do a much better job at marketing and consequently sell for their stuff for a lot more.

Good info here, as I have a few sets I would like to sell, all need some work, but nothing major...
I have repaired and polished other conv moldings for people and 20-30ft is about right. Handling these things so they don't get wrapped around the wheel is another story! Very hard to work with....

Is h/t quarter same profile that it could hold trim .,think I only have a lh vert q/p & seems if attatched to panel with retractable clips it wouldnt wadd up around the wheel


not ina rush to sell my 68-9 vert Q/P peak molding but considdered it IF I was to sepperate my pair $500 would be ball park
