1967 ignition switch removal

I know I need to turn the switch to acc, put a paperclip in the little hole, then turn the tumbler past acc so it pops out, but I can't turn the switch to acc and haven't been able to for some time. Is there any other way to get the switch out?

Not unless you use pyrotechnics...

Sorry, but unless you can turn it CCW past the Accessory position, there is no way to get it out without destroying it. Try moving the key in and out while turning.

spray it with wd-40 or PB blaster liberally and try working it back and forth. Sometimes that will free it up so you can.

Try a different/ new key?

I recently had all sorts of problems getting into and starting my Landcruiser. The key just wouldn't work the locks properly and I was getting prices to replace all the tumblers on the car. I found the original spare cruiser key by accident and presto, the locks work butter smooth.
My old original key was worn out not the tumblers.

I'll recommend a lock lubricant that has something like graphite in it:

I dug up one of the original keys and pressed the key in to turn it, and it worked, thanks. It seems I caused the bezel to jump the thread on one side and now it's stuck. What's the best way to get it off?

Also, what kind of lubricant should I put on the tumbler when I re-assemble the switch, and where should I put it?

I usually coat the key a few times with something like 3in1 or penetrant. Then insert and turn it back and forth until it feels smooth. Don't over lubricate it.

Don't use petroleum based lubricants in lock cylinders. Use powdered graphite only.
