1967 CS Holiday Coupe - Kick Panel Speakers
I purchased an aftermarket radio, new center speaker, and kick panel speakers from OPGI.
Radio - https://www.opgi.com/cutlass/1967/mo...nents/C240647/
Kick Panel Speakers - https://www.opgi.com/cutlass/1967/mo...nents/CH26869/
The passenger side kick panel speaker fits fine and sounds fine. However, the drivers side panel fits, but the speaker sits out too far and is impacted by the emergency brake.
My question; has anyone modified the emergency brake pedal so that it sits out a little farther.
I will be calling OPGI tomorrow to discuss the fitment issues as well.

The sales page specifically notes the driver side kick panel will interfer with the parking brake pedal. Maybe you could make standoffs to move the pedal out farther from the current mounting location without interfering with the other pedals.

I'm still considering options, I'll let everyone know what I end up with.

The parking brake assembly can wiggle a little - maybe 1/2"? - as mounted, so very low profile speaker grills are probably fine. Modifying the entire unit would require removing it, which due to how I mounted a Autowire panel would be dramatically difficult at this point.
I replaced the main hinge rivet with a bolt and plastic washers a few years ago so it was much easier for me to remove the pedal and take the appropriate actions. That rivet was a real PITA, so I wouldn't attempt to drill it out with the unit mounted in the car.
babailey: yeah, this is going to get some quality time on the welding table.
