control arm boxing kits...

Hello from Germany,

anyone know where i can buy lower-control arm boxing kits for 64-67 A´s...

or any spacer because i wanted to use a swaybar (UMI-Performance) on not boxed arms.

Hi and welcome to ClassicOldsmobile!!!!

I havent seen boxing kits for the 64-67 a body cars....

But you can upgrade your suspension with rear upper and lower arms from Edelbrock, BMR, Hotchkis, UMI .....

I replaced mine with some Non Adj. Upper and lower arms from UMI and they fit perfect....

they look nearly stock and you dont have the pain to press out that old worn rusty bushings.....

http://www.fusick.com/catalogdownload.htm Fusicks has them in their online catalog. These are good people to do business with.

Actually, the 64-72 lower control arms are all the same. If the kit fits 68-72, then it also fits 64-67.

Actually, the easy way to do this yourself is to first weld tubes across the bolt holes then weld flat plate to the bottom to make it a closed box.

Thats what i would do, too....
But i couldnt get out these old rusty bushings......
So i decided to buy an aftermarket suspension package.

I had round steel spacers and the top plates cutted already but i dont wanted to twist the arms with the press.....

If you get the bushings out, that s the easiest way to make them "boxed"

Joe, you are the MAN!
