Oh, I understood perfectly, hence why i did not say anything.
I have both types, too - the big ones with the little hole and the small ones with the big hole.
I even have the medium-sized bakelite-type ones with the little hole that spin almost as fast as a cd...
This weekend is time to load up a dozen or so of those big vinyl Christmas cd's on the old Zenith. Not only will it give off some excellent music, it will help heat the house as well!

The 78s i have were scored from a large trash pile some 30 years ago. Many still play, but many are broken. Most of the good ones have copyright dates in the 190x's. They are quite fun to listen to, especially the one of Earl and his buddy taking their first (reckless) drive in an automobile!
The only records I do not have yet are the 16 rpm's. My old Zenith will play all 4 speeds, as well as the RCA, Newcomb, and Magnavoxs I have.
Bon Scott prem AC/DC
No the large CD's were the first dvd's. I've got 78's and I think somewhere some Edison tube rolls. I used to have an actual record recorder. I was into reel to reel back in the 70's, some of the best playing music ever was off a Teac Quad.
