Flywheel

Looks Like I'm going to have to replace the clutch in my sons Blazer. Can anyone tell me how important it is to resurface the flywheel. How do I know if it needs it? And how much should I pay? This is for my 17 yr old son and I prefer it to not hook up real well,to keep something else from breaking.

For normal street use -- if its not deep scored and grooved it doesnt need to be resurfaced. Just wirewheel it good and use it!! Clutch disks are just like brake pads -- they will conform to some surface imperfections with ease!(MOO).
