RIP Carroll Shelby

He apparently passed away last night at the age of 89. Sad to see an American Icon go. RIP.

I'm proud to say I've never owned a Ford!
Shelby was another player from the 60's that I respect highly.
Not many real car guys left...they don't make cars like they once did.
These guys were responsible for a whole generation of cars and people, the likes we will never see again.
God Speed Carroll Shelby.

The End of an Era. Few individuals made such a large impact in our Automotive world. Though I am not and never have been an Ford guy, those GT race cars were some of the most beautiful machines ever to come to life. (IMO)
R.I.P.

Unhappy A debt of gratitude

Mr. Shelby - I offer you my heart felt gratitude and respect for providing me with untold hours of pure pleasure and excitement while driving my '66 GT350. Of all the cars I've owned in my life, the one you built is far and away the most fun drive. It handles like a machine should handle. It always has. Rest in peace - you made an enormous impact on racing and building cars.... Thank you again....
