Winter wonderland??

Here are some pics I took this morning at home and on my way to work! Enjoy.... all of you who never have to see or drive in this crap! I really need to go to the post office at lunch, but I hate to go out and clean off my car! I've had enough already, lol!

The backyard - Larry plowed me a path to get to the birdfeeders!

Winter Wonderland

I got more snow at my house.
Ain't it pretty, the pics remind me of the winter street scenes from "It's a Wonderful Life".
Why do you have a well in your yard Sandy?...don't you have running water??
Hard to fetch it from the crick in the winter when it freezes over.
Is that a shed or a two seater outhouse?
Why are you driving down the middle of the street???

The streets look fine, you can see the pavement.
Just make sure you make no sudden moves, be aware of snow sharks, have good winter wiper blades, lots of washer fluid and good tires, no large deal.
I should back the Vista Cruiser out of the garage and let it see snow for the first time.
It would be like sunlight hitting Dracula and the car would rust to the ground before I could get it back in the garage.

Do you have chains or studded tires for Teepo?

Blue..... you crack me up, lol! The well is one mom got for Larry one year. Just for decoration. We have it sitting over our well cap. And that's a shed you shi*! I know you got more snow out your way. I was thinking of you guys the other night when they were showing it on the maps. You better leave the Vista in the garage!!

As for Teepo.... she's been tucked away in the garage since October. I would never drive her in this crap!!

Citcapp..... I've tried singing all sorts of Christmas songs. It ain't workin, lol!

Someday, I'll be in Arizona and won't have to deal with this!!!!

Very pretty. We haven't had any snow here in the sunbelt of MI. yet, but it can't be long now. It's 25F today. Sure wish when it does snow we would only get 2" or so at a time and not have to plow, but nooo, we always get a foot or more. By February I'm running out of places to put it.

No snow here..yet. We usually have had a couple of inches by this time.

Like that picture Stan, nice work.

I like the first snow or two, after that I'm done with it! Be safe!

Sandy: I wish that I had my camera with me. I live on the north shore of Lake Erie (south of Windsor) and we have no snow here!
London, Ontario is another story. As of 6:00 pm tonight they have over 3 feet of the white stuff.
Who says Canada gets all the snow?

Here in Southern Oregon there's plenty of snow in the mountains around the valley, I think a couple feet up at the ski lodge. But in Medford we had sunshine until mid-afternoon today. Temp of 63 matched the record high but we've got a big rainstorm coming in off the coast to the Southwest. Gonna be cold and wet the rest of the week. I'm still putting out bird seed and the little guys are draining the feeder in about 6 hours We do get a couple inches on the valley floor a few times a year, but it melts off fast. Thaaaaats the balance I like. If I want to go play in the snow it's less than an hour drive away. But in my daily commute I don't have to deal with it. I purchased studded tires and chains when I lived up North and still have multiple sets. But in the 9 years that I've been down here I've not used them at all. Been there, done that and my joints are getting too old and creaky to deal with that every day.

Yea, I am near Detroit in Windsor Ontario, we have not had anything really. It seems folks are getting slammed with snow all around us. I think we will getting ours this weekend. I had the Olds out yesterday for the last hurrah (Wednesday 12/8/10)

Hey Jaybird, Where abouts are you? I am in Windsor. North Shore of Lake Erie would be between Amherstberg to Leamington. A friend of mine is in London Ontario for work, he said the roads are a mess, they got about 4 feet of snow.

Hey cutlassjoe: We'll have to run it to each other sometime soon. I work in Windsor and live in Colchester. I parked my car in a heated storage the last week of November in Harrow.

Depressing or not, I miss the snow being from Illinois, and moving to Texas. What I don't miss is the salt and rust.

I like your picture better Stan! Sandy, please keep the snow by you, don't want any of that by me.! We have been pretty cold here but only flurries so far. Still driving the Cutlass, as long as the roads are clean.

Oh, that's what that is....For a nano-second I thought it was a time vortex separating itself from the space/time continuum due to a rip in the fabric of space. My second guess was it had something to do with the frost.

Can't believe you were driving in that and taking pictures at the same time. Were you sending SMS messages too?
You got more snow in your yard than we get all winter in our snow fields. Even our snow making machines don't spew out that much snow.
Looks nice but you can have it No wonder Oprah Winfrey came down here.

Nice pictures! No snow around here at all. No rain, for that matter. Heck two nights ago was our first night below freezing - 27*...
I think we are in one of those nina/nino things again - warmer and drier than usual.

I wish I could send it away - I am still having to run the sprinklers and this watery stuff costs as much as liquid gold!

Careful running sprinklers in that front yard Rob. Wouldn't want to start an electrical fire and have a Santa Meltdown.

I'm from Wisconsin originally - now in Texas. Shoveled A LOT of snow up there. I will gladly take the hottest day Texas can give me over a snow shovel in my hands.
