American Musclecar Show In Chicago Pics
Went to a car show today. My friend was showing his Light blue 442 w-30 4 speed convert. One of 4 he owns. In one of the pics you can see it. The whole row is 4 speed W-30 converts. He also had a 6 pack car and a Hemi but that's another thread. Doc Watson was there as well as Linda Vaughn. Both as nice as can be. I'm not joking that every car there was magazine material. The number of H/Os was astounding. How about the 68 H/O convert! It was used for promos apparently. And a real Ram Rod 68! The nicest Vista Cruiser on the planet was there as well. I threw in a Hurst Grand Prix too because I had never seen one. The Red car is a survivor. Here's some pics.

A couple more. The last is a pic of a RamRod 350 motor. And yes, that's MY diecast 69 H/O Doc's about to autograph.

It was a good show. I spent a few hours there this morning. The row of 1970 W-30 convertibles was an amazing sight. The "Cars of Hurst" display was another amazing sight, and my personal favorite. The only thing that would have made it better for me would have been a 69 H/O Co-Motion in the Baldwin-Motion display. That would have been a great bridge between those two displays. I have only seen one of those cars once, down in Florida.
If you are in the Chicago area, you can always go tomorrow!

The Baldwin-Motion area was unbelievable! After a while the whole show was like, "Ho hum, another COPO Camaro." LOL! I can remember the day when cars of this caliber were two to a show. These were all champions. This was by far the best show I have ever attended. I just happened to be walking by when Linda and Doc were signing. Also got to meet and chat with Arnie "The Farmer" Beswick. He is an outstanding person and driver. Who's the goon with Doc Watson? Yeah, that'd be me.
I don't think it is a traveling show. Here's the site. http://www.mcacn.com/
I missed it, just too buys this weekend, would have liked to have gone and even met some of you all in person. Are all those W30's from the Chicago area. I almost never see any of them out and about. Hard to beleive there were four 4-speed convertibles at one show
There is a 70 Cutlass pictured that has a dark green paint. Anyone know the paint code or name for that color? I think it's the same green that was available on the 70 Toronado.
Thanks,
George
