So true. Today during lunch time the TV in the break room was on a local noon news station we always watch but they spent the whole half hour (maybe more) on the downtown St. Patrick's day parade. No news so I was not happy. Americans will do anything to get drunk or party. I don't need an excuse. If I wanna have a beer I have a beer. If I wanna party with friends I call them up and we get together and party. We don't need no stinkin excuses!!!
If I sound kind of fumed I am. Everyone is Irish on St.Patrick's Day. It is kind of lame in my opinion.

Half Irish Half Scottish here too. With all the hype it makes it seem like New Years in March. There are a couple of good Irish pubs in Corktown in Detroit. I will go there all year except the week of St. Patricks day. Too many rookies...lol!
