Weather was beautiful here today in the St. Louis area and I finally got to my 1st car event of the season, a cruise-in at a Raising Canes restaurant about 12-miles from me. Not a huge turnout, maybe about 75-cars, but definitely some nice ones. It was just a real nice day to get the car out for a drive and show it off! Hope you enjoy the pics!
I took my 75 Hurst Olds out to a nearby show at a local BBQ place yesterday. It was only about 50 cars there. A guy behind me had a beautiful 1940 Ford coupe which is probably my favorite car. I took third place in the 70's class and brought home a much needed plaque. It was good to get out. It was the first show I had been to since November. I know it has been a lot longer than that for lots of you guys. Nice pictures. Thanks for posting.

Nice job Red! Glad you were able to get your car out to an event and that your Hurst showed so well! I appreciate you checking out the pics and the compliments.
Seems like a nice show and your car really pops in the sun! You ever see Kenny Wallace around town?
GN1220 - Thanks for checking out the pics and the compliment on my car, I sincerely appreciate it! I have seen Kenny Wallace a couple of times from a distance at NASCAR events at World Wide Technologies Raceway just across the Mississippi River in Illinois. I have seen Ken Schrader dozens of times thru the years at I-55 Raceway in Pevely, MO where I live. I-55 Raceway is a 1/3-mile, high banked, dirt oval known these days primarily for hosting multiple World of Outlaws Sprint Car events. The Schrader family were partial owner's of that raceway for 30-years until selling their share recently in 2024. I live close enough to the track where if I'm outside I can hear the cars running on Saturday nights, I love that sound!
I've seen a couple of his posts where he mentions that he lives in Arnold, MO. Honestly, I don't think I ever heard of Arnold before that.
You may have already checked this out, but Arnold is about 20-miles directly south of StL off of I-55, and Pevely where I live is another 12-miles south beyond Arnold, again off of I-55.
if you're ever in StL, or just passing thru and have the time and would like to stop by and checkout my car just let me know. Our StL Archway Old's Club always sponsors an All Oldsmobile Fun Show in September that's a good time (pic). I have no idea how comfortable you are driving your Old's that far, but it might be a fun weekend trip for you if you're interested in coming over for the event.
Thank you for the invitation, I'd love to see it in person. But honestly, I don't even have an Oldsmobile anymore. I sold my 72 U code Supreme I got out of New York a few years ago. Turns out, wrenching on stuff isn't as fun as it was in high school. I bought a low mile 08 Pontiac G8 to take up space in the garage until I get tired of looking at it and sell it too.
