The 2024 Virginia Commonwealth Games are starting their second week. The Games are amateur athletes from all over the Commonwealth in literally dozens of sports.

The high school All Star Division baseball tournament is going on today. This is first time in several years I haven't known any of the West Division baseball players but scouts are always at these games. For my old high school to not have a player on a CGAS team this year is unusual, since they're perennially in the state finals. That tells me there's some awesome high school baseball talent in the 2024 Games.

Anyone else have statewide amateur athletic competitions?
