Mmph. Lumpy, Eddie and Wally back together. Probably waiting to give Beaver and Gilbert the business!😄

Word was Tony was a car guy. It's known his first personal car was a Corvair. Turns out that 53 Chevy convertible he drove in Beaver was a comparatively rare car as it was a 1953 Two-Ten convertible, not a BelAir. Only 5000 or so made and discontinued mid-year since the BelAir made more profit per unit.

Yeah now I see those car episodes and see how great they were, June riding in Wally's Chevy with the top down, bad paint and all. There was some film recently i saw where Wally found his Corvair and got it back I think.

Yep there was a retraction in the news but the report now says he's close to the end.

Well he passed now. Peace to you Tony. Probably the best older brother ever on TV. I know people that knew him. They all have said what a nice person he was always. Rest In Power Tony. You deserve it. 🙏

I have been walking on treadmill in morning and watch Me Tv a lot. Leave it to Beaver is on . I was just a little too young to watch it when it was on, but now I see it and love it!! What a story line. I had just seen a couple years ago how Tony hated being so type cast as Wally, it was hard for him to get other parts. RIP Tony Dow.

I've read that's why Ken Osmond joined the LAPD. Couldn't get away from Eddie Haskell-type characters. When he died in 2020 Jerry Mathers said Ken was one of the best friends he'd ever had and was nothing like Eddie Haskell.

Their LITB roles dogged most of the cast when they tried to expand their acting careers. Even Beaver joined the US Air Force to move on from the show.

I think the worst outcome for someone not being able to shake off a acting role stereotype was Jethro from the Beverly Hillbillies....

Didn't seem to affect Mrs. Cleaver much.

Got to love Airplane

I remember they did a reboot of LITB back in the 80's which also helped Jerry Mathers get small cameo roles in TV and movies.
