Vacation

Well after spending the last few vacations with you fellers @ the nationals. We decided on a last big one with the entire family on the wife and I favorite Hawaiian island of Maui. Here are some pictures

I spent two years on Oahu courtesy of US Navy but never got to any of the other islands. Thanks for the pics. My wife and I hit fifty years in September, might just go back.

We were fortunate enough to go to 3 islands. Kauai, Maui and Honolulu. After all said and done it was close between Maui and Kauai but if I went back I think it would be Kauai. Honolulu was like being in NYC but had to visit Pearl Harbor.

Maui is built up also going by photo's. haven't been to that one.., Kauai isn't really..
Honolulu is

I've been to 3 of the islands.. Maui hasn't been one of them..
Wife like Kauai "the garden island" So.. you know how that goes..
We got married on the big island.. The priest was more surfer dude than what I'd call a testbook priest..

One of my Olds buddies had his daughter stationed on Oahu. We happened to be both on Maui at the same time back in 2012. I asked which island she preferred. She said Kauai was her favorite.

I have been to oahu and it was great but Honolulu was a nightmare traffic wise.

Here is a picture from the lanai this morning sipping Hawaiian coffee.

I am afraid not. We are stopping on the way back to visit my mom in L.A. for a couple of days.

I loved Maui. Stayed in Ka'anapali Beach and drove the entire island to Hana and Seven Pools then Haleakala. Was amazing. That was in 2002 and I would love to go back. Oahu was very commercial, but had its great points as well! I loved heading up to the North Shore and getting a shave ice from Matsumoto's. Pearl Harbor was a definite when I was there as well. Great memories that will last forever.
