Very cool Tedd. I don't know if I am the only one that noticed (I doubt it) but they had the 55 and 56 Buicks backwards, they called the 58 Edsel a Ford Edsel, they called the 55 Mercury a 54 and at the end they had a 57 Chevy Impala. It was very well done and I loved the music. Those were fun times. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for sharing the link Tedd... What actually caught my eye the most from outside the usual array of vehicles was the 58 Packard Hawk...

That Packard Hawk was an ugly car on the front end. The front of it always reminds me of a catfish.

"UGLY" is what grabs the attention and also makes it somewhat rare... I am not a big fan myself, just reminds me of Studebakers for the most part...

It WAS a Studebaker . With Packard trim .
Studebaker and Packard had merged by that time , and had closed the Packard plant in Detroit .
Studebaker put some Packard trim on these cars so that they could be sold by Packard dealers .

Great memories! While the '55 Olds is an 88, it is more specifically a series Super 88 (Olds code DCR)(Fisher body style 3667DTX)(convertible coupe), the same as Tedd's.

Back in the day I thought a lot of them were ugly. I've grown to appreciate the styling and the "colour" combinations as I grow older. I remember my Grandfather buying a new 1959 Plymouth "squad car." Black 4 door, flathead 6 cylinder, 3 on the tree, rubber floor mats, radio delete, no power anything, black walls with poverty caps. I thought it was the ugliest car I ever saw. Right after he bought it we took it on a trip to visit my Aunt in Connecticut. 3 adults and three 10/14 y/o's. That was the first time I was ever on the Pa. turnpike. It was hot weather and those old semi's smoked and blew oil out like crazy. Going through the tunnels about gassed us out. Oh, the good "old days" I always think about that trip every time I'm driving to Pa turnpike.

I also thought these were just "fugly" back in the 60s and 70s. I would give up a lot to have one of those big finned convertible Chryslers. I guess I am just smarter now, and enjoy the music too. Ritchie Valens died way to early.

Thanks brought back old memories when my dad would drive me [early] to school and my "Job" was to name the different cars. When I was a pup I was pretty good at it. Today I haven't a clue
