I had never heard him play an acoustic. He was absolutely the grand master of the Strat. Evidently he was the master of any guitar.

In Lubbock, Tx we had a little club called Fat Dawgs, Stevie came there monthly for years before he made it big, then played Lubbock at the coliseum after he made it. Seeing him live was truly and experience, he was indeed a master.

If you like that pickin', find a copy of "Oreo Cookie Blues" that he did with Lonnie Mack. Stevie plays a great National Steel guitar.
