Best Christmas gift ever.

I got an mail from one of my CO buds wondering where I have been.
I was camped out for the last 8 days at Scott & White regional hospital
over in Lake Way with my wife. What started out as a pain in her tummy
that turned out to be some exotic virus from a trip she and my daughter
took on a cruise down South to Belize & Cozumel and that area.

They came home and went back to work and a few days later she began to
complain about a tummy ache. Went to S/C clinic here and I got a call she is
going to be transported to Lake Way via ambulance. 5 days in ICU. They
had her hooked up to drips, fed her meds and could not figure out what
the heck was going on. The virus had attacked her heart, liver, kidneys and
gall bladder. She was shutting down, scary to say the least.

Long story short, she improved day by day an after the 5th day she was
downgraded to her own room and was able to start walking again.
We spent another 3 days there and came home Saturday after picking
up 7 prescriptions. She is doing well and even went to her Girl Scout
meeting last night. Feeling very blessed to have her home and getting well.

Wow, scary times. I'm thankful she's going to be OK and that you'll all be together for Christmas.

Good outcome. Trips to third world countries can result in unwanted souvenirs.

Glad everything is getting back to normal... Enjoy the Holiday season... It does appear that cruises are becoming more and more risky as you hear about health issues occurring as a result of a cruise...

Thank God all is getting back to normal for you and family. Have a Merry Christmas. Vacations can sometimes have bad outcomes. You never want to hear Jesus loves you when you are sitting in a Mexican jail.

Thanks everyone. It means a lot coming from Oldsmobuds like yourselves.
God is good. She was up this morning like me, before the rooster would crow.
She had a good nights rest and told me she thought she would go on to work today.
Not only a trooper, but a keeper for sure. 36 years together next April.

I want to wish all the families and friends here a blessed and Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year, God Bless you all. Okay, back to work with a heartfelt thanks, Adam.

Surprising how a nice Mother/daughter trip can turn scary in a heartbeat.
We are happy to hear your wife is doing much better and will be home with you and the family for the Holidays. Sounds like you've taken awesome care of her !! Your an awesome husband and Father.
Wish your wife all the best from us.
Cheers

She had a fairly lite day at work, then off to our two Granddaughters Christmas plays.
They were only an hour and a half and were back to back on the same stage.
Resting on the couch watching NCIS New Orleans. Heard her snoring a little, lol.
Thanks again for all the well wishes guys, Ya'll are the best.

Thanks again Steve, Jeff and Charlie. Mom-in-Law came to visit and has brightened
up her day. She had an appointment Friday with her heart Dr. an he told her she
was doing great and dropped 3 of her prescriptions. Once again, God is good.
Thanks again for the prayers and well wishes guys. Worked about a half a day today
and took the vert out for a blast. It was needed, the bottom is supposed to fall out
later tonight and freezing weather for the morning. God bless everyone, stay safe, Adam.
