Opened CO a few minutes ago and a message flashed up about was my email address still accurate and if it wasn't I might not be able to access CO. The one it showed is way out of date, so I changed it.

Question is was this legitimate, or have I opened myself up to bombardment from all these advertisements on the CO site? I did get confirmation emails from classicoldsmobile.com/forums after I changed it.

 

Yeah, it's legit. We had same discussion about this on another thread several weeks ago. I received same notice today. I said "Yes", then "Dismiss". Done deal-e-oh.

 

Yes, it's legit. The reason to keep the email up to date is if for some reason you go through the forgot password process, it involves the email on record.

 

I saw the same message on the Ford Trucks Enthusiast forum I frequent. It's an InternetBrands forum too.
