What to do when its -30. and you are stuck inside with grandchildren

This type of weather does not come every day. So I was trying to think of games tricks etc. to do with the grandkids.
I will try the hot water trick...toss hot water into air and it turns into snow. But if you add water coloring to it the kids love it.
Place a banana outside and within minutes its hard as a rock.
I took the kids shirts and soaked them in water and placed on a hanger; within minutes the shirt is a brick.
Tried wippped cream in a can and sprayed it...it comes out like lead.
OK I'm cracking up...but three days with the kids inside and I' ready to snap

Tell the grandkids it's high time they expand their horizions. "We're gonna watch two football games today. I'm going to explain them to you as we go. There will be a TEST afterwards. Nachos and diet 7-up (no caffeine) to whoever can remain the quietest."
Quality time with the grandkids....that's what it's all about......
and football of course.

Then when it warms up and your able to get outside you can have them back over and clean up that mess you made in the front yard!

That's funny especially because I watched Into the Grey last night.

Ok I am going to take everyones advice.
a) Have them watch NFL with me so they can get my beers
b) Have them clean up after
c) Go start my truck and warm it up for me
d) Give them a large cup of coffee and a bag of m&m's... get them all wild-up, then call thier Mom to come and get them. THANKS FOR THE ADVICE

Last year my kids & I filled several water balloons with water & different food coloring, the liquid type. You make each one a different color, or what ever colors you want & then let them freeze outside for a day or so. Then peel off the skin of the balloon & you have a bunch of big neatly colored ice cubes. The kids can make happy faces in the snow, or what ever with them.

Scissors relay races in a long hallway.

Clean up parts you'll be reinstalling in the spring.

When it's that cold, get their bubble maker (you must have some way to make bubbles) and make them outside. Watch how the bubble freezes and when you touch them you make a hole, but the bubble doesn't burst. Or take hot water in a cup, throw it into the air and watch it freeze.

Hey, we've got 5 months to dream this stuff up around here! If you really want to keep them busy for hours, have them lick an aluminum pole outside. (J/K)
