Seems as if these systems barely graze us then pummel the rest of the country. We had strong winds and a few clouds, and I saw on the national satellite map the Gulf Coast areas of Texas and Louisiana got slammed with heavy rain from the same system.

I once had a girlfriend in college who worked at the local house for folks who weren't quite right. I would visit her to drop her some food, etc. There was a man there who would almost constantly tell me it was going to rain soon! This page reminds me of him. He also collected rocks under his bed. And watches. LOL!
