Hi Guys,

Went to a.great local show at the VFW in Collinsville, IL today, about a 50-mile drive one way. Gorgeous weather, 80° and sunny. Nice turnout, MC said there were 168 judged entries. Format was Top 20, plus special awards like Best Paint, Best Motor, Best in Show, etc. I was fortunate to crack the Top 20. Really pretty painted resin stand-up plaques for the Top 20. There will be 2 posts of 20 pics each, so please refrain from any comments until I get the 2nd post in. Enjoy!

There were really two 84 H/Os there? Impressive. You pull awards not just because of the car, but because of how it's presented. Cleanliness matters. I don't clean mine as much so I don't win much, lol.

I would love to see a picture of the interior of that '57 DeSoto. I think the styling of those cars, inside and out, is incredible.

 

I am kicking myself that I didn't take more pics of that car. For some reason at the time it didn't hit me how special it is. I get out with my car to alot of events, and if I am fortunate to see it again I'll take several pics and post them for you. Thanks for checking out the pics!
