The Tucker was at the show

There is a Tucker that will show up at a few of the local shows. One of the speculations of the purchase of this rare car was that the new owner had to show it at public local shows not just display it in a museum some place. Last Saturday at the Durham show was that day. Here are a couple shots of that car.... Tedd

They drive it whenever it is shown. Saturday it traveled from Chico Ca. to Durham Ca. (maybe 15 miles), not far but not in a trailer either remember this is a million dollar car. I believe it is car #47 if I remember correctly. Also this car was in the movie Tucker that came out some years ago. If I can find any old pictures I'll post them..... Tedd

Yea, but the dollars and rarity are with the Tucker. In my opinion they are a bit homely. Thanks though, I like the old gal a bunch also.

Thanks Eric. I was having a hard time finding that show on my computer, to many pictures , to little organization ... Tedd

Yes, it was in the movie. They rounded up almost every one still in existence for use in the movie. Some really rough ones were given a slight restoration so they could be used in background shots and the like.

Pretty cool; I've seen a few Tuckers in person, one at the Coppola vinyard in Napa Valley, another at the San Diego Automotive Museum, and a couple others over the years. Been a fan of the cars since before the movie came out. Always wanted one, but the closest I've ever gotten is this one, a "Waltz Blue" cookie jar that came out in the mid 90s, limited to 251 copies. I'd settle for an Ida Automotive replica, but even then I'll probably need at least 100K.

I would class this Tucker as a survivor it has the original paint and chrome and It has been kept up but never restored.

I had the pleasure of being parked along side of this car at a show a couple years ago and heard the whole story behind how Glen ( or Gene , can't remember names for squat) ended up with this Tucker, Quite a story. He also owns a 36 Cord that I have pictures of as it sat next to my 55 in a shop..... Tedd
