Trying to see if it's a real 442 336870m402711

Hello Billy,
It doesn't look like a real 4-4-2 from the VIN you posted. For it to be a real 4-4-2, the second and third numbers in the VIN should be 44. Your two numbers are 36 which interprets to Cutlass V8.

Hello Billy, welcome to the site.
So the bad news is as the boys already indicated. That its not a 442, but it is a V8 Cutlass S. A far cry from a 442 but still a great car in its own right. Your model is a 1970 built in Lansing, Michigan, and could be a 250 HP 350 up to a 320 HP 455 or if your really lucky it could be a 325 HP W31.
So the big question is what drive-train do you have, engine, trans, etc ? ( it would be sweet if they swapped in a complete 1970 442 drive-train in addition to the 442 tag...)
