hot wheels
I did the search and didnt find anything about them so does anybody collect hotwheels. I found a new '10 hotwheels "new model" 70 442 at the store, yes i still go through the toy isle's, the other day. I had to buy it, along with a 66 gto wagon, to put next to my other olds hotwheels. Now i have a 70 442, 2 68 442, and what i believe to be another 70 442, the box doesnt say. Me, my friends and my dad race them on my dads olds drag strip race track, we usually do a scale quarter mile.
Jaunty75 how is my speeling?

I have a bunch of those as well, but have refrained from buying anything over the last 6 months. I was keeping my eyes out for an original redline 442 but the good ones are real expensive, rather save my money for real parts for real cars.

in your row of three the center one I can just see the meeting "Boss i got bad news the line messed up a zillion of the new hot wheels olds car's look at the stripe " Well then just put new paint style on bubble pack and send them out problem fixed"

Man I would like to have that 70 442 - looks like a trip to the toy store, soon!
I never collected HWs, but I did buy some funky ones 7 years ago or so....
One is a hot rodded shopping cart ("Express lane") and one of a jet powered toilet ("Hot Seat"). There are some more, too. Seems like the HWs engineers were on something then.
They were so goofy I just HAD to get them...

Doesn't everybody?
I make a round thru Wally World, Target and Toys'R'Us every couple weeks to see what's new. I've gotten a little choosy about the ones I get though (space considerations).
I need to start tossing the Danbury Mint envelopes in the trash without opening them. I've actually been pretty good- haven't ordered one in about four months now. Last one was a Diamond Blue 65 Thunderbird though the 53 Studebaker is tempting.
Then at the local cruise night two weeks ago, guy shows up with a Diamond Blue 65 T-bird, very nice car- with a for sale sign on it . I could be in trouble, esp since I'm not having much luck finding the 67 'Bird I've been looking for the last couple years.
Not that I'll ever quit me Oldsmobiles. The Thunderbird is the same type car as my Starfires, and a 63-70 Chrysler 300 is on the radar too. 60s personal luxury is where it's at!
