tornado

Had my first experience with a tornado. Minor roof damage, trees down with one hitting the side of the house taking the AC out. Other damage to just about everything outside. A piece of corrugated steel 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 hit the car . Was watching it through a window in the house and when a large trampoline came flying by with lots of other debris, it was time to go to the basement. Lots of damage to neighbors' roofs.

****. Glad you're not worse than you are.

Prioritize your recovery and do not overwork or hurt yourself doing it.

Between tornados and floods I've been concerned about a lot of you. May be due to relentless 24/7 media pounding but I don't remember ever hearing about as many.

Time was tornado was something that happened in Kansas, Nebraska and Oklahoma. Then the Southeast started getting smacked regularly with them followed by Indiana and Ohio. Now the whole country hates to see April, May and November coming because of them.

I can take rain and thunderstorms but if the wind gets up I come unglued.

Hope no one was hurt and you can get your damage repaired quickly.

Good to hear you aren't injured. Growing up in the Midwest I've experienced several. Now, for the past 23 years residing on the North Carolina Atlantic Ocean coastline having experienced ~40 hurricanes, I can truthfully say I'd take a hurricane any day over a tornado.

Texas is the #1 state for tornadoes. The closest I've been was a few miles and really don't want or need to experience one first hand. Glad no one was hurt.

Hurricanes can sometimes make tornadoes. Tornadoes are personal tragedies that sometimes also take out power for the immediate area; whereas a hurricane is an event.
