Time to Remember and Honor

Time to Remember and Honor
This weekend is the time we should all remember and honor all of those men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the defending of the freedoms we all often take for granted. Let's not forget why we have this holiday.

I agree. We have so much to be thankful for because of the sacrifices our service men and women have made. My Dad's gone now but he was in the 101st airborne in WWII. His two brothers and three brother-in-laws all served in that war and I grew up hearing the stories and seeing the patriotism they all embraced.

I just got this and wanted to post
It is the
VETERAN,
not the preacher, who has given us freedom of religion.
It is
the VETERAN,
not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.
It is
the VETERAN,
not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.
It is
the VETERAN,
not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.
It is
theVETERAN,
not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is
the VETERAN,
not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.
It is the
VETERAN who
salutes the Flag,
It is
the
VETERAN
who serves
under the Flag,
God
Bless them all!!

Tell ya what... there wasn't a damned thing that I didn't do on Monday when I wasn't thinking of those who fought for our freedom. Was thinking of those who are currently doing so as well. I live in York, PA... On Friday I went with a coworker to make a delivery into the city of York. Along the way, we passed by Prospect Hill Cemetary. The grounds had THOUSANDS of "Old Glory" placed into the ground. It was beautiful... NOTHING but red, white, and blue. It brought a tear to my eye. God Bless ALL our soldiers... passed AND present!
