Teepo Wins At Olds Show!
We came in 3rd, but I'm proud!! There were 8 beautiful Cutli in our class, so I'm pleased just to have placed! My friend Carl with the beautiful blue Cutlass S came in 2nd, and I believe the blue and white one parked beside me was 1st. Great show!

Not to take anything away from Cutlassgal's award, but I've always been unimpressed with the Northern Ohio Chapter's awards.
I've not seen them every year, but I have seen some, and what Sandy got is a dash plaque stuck to a hunk of wood with another "third place" plaque stuck down below.
Didn't she already get a dash plaque when she registered? Now she has two?
Cheaply made and looks it. The plaque isn't even centered properly on the slab of wood. It's tilted to the left at the top.
How about a real trophy?

Congrats Sandy you have one heck of a beautiful Cutlass. It would fare well in any show what so ever! You should be very proud and honored to receive this award out of all of those fine cars. 
On the other hand, jaunty is correct about the trophies. With the participation they had at the show, a $10 or $15 entry fee would have more than payed for 1st - 3rd trophies in all classes along with a best of show and a spectator vote trophy. My Dad put on several shows throughout the 80's, 90's and 00's, and the first 100 entries got a dash plaque along with top 3 trophies in every class and they were very nice at every show. Again not taking anything away from Teepo, because she is one hell of an Oldsmobile.

I have to say I agree on the awards!! I think they should have trophies too. We do pay a registration fee, which is $10 pre registration for your car, and $5 for any other cars you may bring, and $12 day of the show. Vendors also pay $10 pre reg. and $15 day of the show. So they make a little money..... I've seen the plaques from years back, and they're the same thing, just like Jaunty said. Mine was the same last year. We do end up with 2 dash plaques, lol.
