Talking So what good stuff did Santa bring you?

It looks like our make shift Christmas tree inside was not big enough...

So he left the big stuff outside under a much larger tree!!

I bet I knew what's in those boxes, and oohhhh - some beer also!

It is 34* out with a stiff north wind - will be a while until I can get out there and unwrap those...

However I am envisioning this thing with all the trimmings:

THANKS SANTA!!

Time to start a piggin' out and an unwrappin'!

So what car goodies did everyone else get?

Merry Christmas Rob! It's colder in your part of the country than mine right now

Once you get the tail lights detailed we'll be watching for pictures of your car with everything installed. John

And some more good stuff!

Merry Christmas, John! The big jolly guy did drop off some tail lights, too. The got covered with jingle-dust on the way, though...

Yes, I would be happy to trade temps with you - it is cold out there now!
The ladyfriend would not let me stay out there in PJs and a bath robe to open up that big one..

Got a package of factory literature pieces related to the 1965 Pure Oil Performance Trials conducted at Daytona under the auspices of NASCAR, and that mention the Jetstar I. The most display-worthy pieces may "oversell" things a bit, but I can live with that...

I really made out, and I didn't even ask for anything..directly.

I received 4 cases of Yuengling Beer that were personally imported from PA by my wonderful (now official) future son-in-law.
He proposed to miss 14 weeks prego last night, should see the rock he gave her.
She said he got down on one knee and was shaking like a leaf, was he afraid she was going to say no?

I also acquired a Christmas Story leg lamp, I could hardly contain myself when I opened it, I was still in tears from getting the beer.

3/8" and 1/4" drive rotator ratchets, they're magic, no matter which way you twist the handle the head spins the same direction.

A phono pre-amp so I can hook up my analog turntable to my digital amp.

A camouflage Snuggie?

A DeWalt 18 volt cordless drill kit.

A nice check for a $100.00.

An even better check for $5000.00 from my late dad's estate.
Thanks Pop!

I'm going to go put on my camo Snuggie, have a few Yuenglings to prepare myself for the big family party at my house later, play with my ratchets, stare at my lamp, then say goodbye to my money before I hand it all to my non-pregnant daughter for college like I do with every spare cent I get.
My dad is finally helping put a kid through college, if he only knew...

Blue.... you must have been REALLY good this year, lol!! I told Santa how much you helped me, when I saw him at the Mall!

I got some wax and polishing cloths for Teepo, and a nice GPS from Nicole. Got birdseed and towels with fish on them for my fish decor bathroom from my nephew, Kohls gift card from Jean, a Dean Koontz book, gum and suet for the birds from Lin. Didn't even get a Merry Christmas from Larry......

My best gift was watching Lin cry tears of happiness over the collage of pics Nicole and I put together of her old friends from the building where she lived out in Kansas. It took her a minute to figure out what she was looking at, and when it dawned on her, it was just priceless!! She must have cried for 20 minutes, lol! Heck, we were all crying, lol!! She was sooooo happy! Now that's what it's all about!

I got 18 inch breaker bar from my son, a dewalt random orbit sander from my wife. My parents got me a set of black inner fenders for my cutlass and my uncle got me a subscription to Skinned Knuckles. Santa brought me a large bottle of good rum. My daughter got me some cds and dvds.

My son got the neatest gift. His grandparents got him a set of night vison goggles. We went out tonight and they are really fun.

My mother in law showed up before the storm, so the wife is very happy.

It was a very good christmas for me and my family.

Merry Christmas to all

I got lots of neat stuff but the neatest was from my wife. It is one of those table top stereo's that plays vinyl records and records them to CD's. I have it here in my office and am listening to a James Taylor album I bought back in the 70's. The album cover is a very your JT with a head full of hair. It is amazing how well I cared for those old records. No scratches.

I got a sign pole down the side of my Toyota RAV4. Made a nice little dent streak and good size dent in the right rear quarter. Over here will probably cost $2500 bucks at least to fix. Other than that I didn't get anything, not even a lump of coal or a gallon of kerosene.

Congratulations! That is the nicest present anyone can ever receive. My wife and I got one of those for our birthdays 3 years ago and it is still the best present either of us has ever gotten.

TK, you won with the biggest gift - hope you picked a Christmas related name somehow - many congrats to you and your familiy.
Adam, you were runner up. That garage looks good for a car guy, but be forwarned, they shrink while in use.

I did manage to score a few other goodies last night with the family...
I got a gift card to Oreilly's for parts, a walmart card for gas, a box of Kimberly clark paper products for in the garage, a window cleaning cloth, and finally a big discover gift card for more parts.
I will not mention the pain pills as they were part of my surgery recovery...

All in all, I hope everyone got something cool or fun or very usable this Christmas, even if not directly car related.
Flannel shirts and jeans still count, as we go through clothes fast when working out there in grease and oil...
Hope everyone had a fun time with kids and kin and kept themselves safe and sound.

Very cool! I was born on 12/23/64! Please don't ever do this to him...."This is for your birthday and Christmas." My parents did that every year, drove me nutz....Congrats on the little guy. Best present by far. Well, except for the bumper with the cut outs...lol.

Merry Christmas Rob, is that a repro or re-chromed OEM? I'm really interested in the piercing for the bumperettes. Can you post some details about them? Maybe start a new thread for it? Greatly appreciated. Measurements would be nice too!

Merry Christmas to you, Allan...
I am pretty sure it is an OEM part, I know it was rechromed. Looked pretty darn nice when i saw it. I have the exhaust trumpets already so just need to move the hangers.
My plans for the bumper guard holes is to insert some chromed carriage bolts to cover them up, since i have no bumper guards. I can get some measurements and details though.
I could add the guards later if i can find a good set.

What did Santa bring you??
